The VMDAEC Education Scholarship Foundation Board selects recipients based on a combination of weighted criteria: financial need at 40%, academic achievement at 40%, and personal statement at 20%.
The number of scholarships awarded each year is based upon funds available in the Foundation. Over the last 15 years, over 500 students have received funds for college.
Any graduating senior who's parents or guardians are members of CVEC are eligible to apply.
Students must be graduating and accepted at college or technical/trade school the following fall semester.
The $1000 scholarships can be used for tuition, student fees, room and board, or the purchase of books.
