Serving 39,000 accounts, Central Virginia Electric Cooperative is a member-owned, not-for-profit electric utility headquartered in Colleen, Virginia. CVEC serves residential, agricultural, commercial and industrial accounts in the rural portions of 14 Virginia counties.
Created by the members to provide electric service where it was previously unavailable, CVEC has been improving the quality of life since 1937. For over 85 years, the Co-op has provided the reliable delivery of affordable energy to its member owners.
CVEC is one of only 23 other electric co-ops across the nation that has earned the prestigious Four-Star Cooperative recognition by completing four employee engagement courses in the Touchstone Energy Service Excellence Program.
